But this time of the year also happens to be the time where I travel...
Most of the time I am travelling out to visit my lovely mother for the holidays, but this year is different.

This year, I am heading back to the island.
I'm slightly psyched and slightly saddened.
I don't want to leave my mom. Living with her is like a million times cooler than living with my dad.

Anyways, this evening Mark's daughter Danicia and her boyfriend Jerry are coming over to our house for dinner and stuff because since I won't be here in Kansas for Christmas we are having an early Christmas tonight.
I guess that's sort of a score.

My mom bought and gave me a camera earlier because she wanted me to have it as my Christmas gift but since I was leaving Iowa she wanted me to have the opportunity to take photos with my friends back there since I won't get to see them again until Summer.
And boy did I use that camera!!

So yeah my mom isn't getting me anything else and I wouldn't expect her to since digital cameras that are actually good quality are pretty pricey. And today my mom, Mark, and I all went to Target so they could buy a fondue thing and I saw this freaking amazing hat that was sort of Boho style I guess but anyways it was really cute so I asked if I could have it and also these gloves that were like 2 dollars for 2 pairs (1.50 actually teehee) and my mom was like "Yeah, if you wrap them and put them under the tree for tonight."
So I did.
So it looks like I have presents. Hahaha.

No surprises this year. But oh well, I'm still getting crap so that's really what matters.
I am a horrible example of Christmas spirit haha.
But don't get me wrong, I love Christmastime. I get really into the whole decorating the tree and wrapping presents and stuff. I just didn't get any surprises...and I'm really a fan of recieving gifts.

I love giving gifts too, but I hate when I get someone something and A: they don't like it or B: they don't say thank you or C: both of those things together.
So I just never know how to get the right thing, and since I'm 13 I don't have a job so when someone tells me what they want I like never have enough money for it hahaha...isn't that how it always is though?

So yeah, that's what's going on tonight,,
Last night I went to a White Elephant party at my friend Kaylea's house. I brought perfume from Victoria's Secret and all the other girls brought really nice perfume and candy and stuff gifts that were really nice.
Except one.
She brought a Dora the Explorer bath set.
Yeah, you got me right. DORA.
I fucking hate Dora the Explorer.

And guess who got the Dora set?
Of course. Me.
I was pissed and when I opened it and saw what it was I looked at her and was like "Wasn't it supposed to be a SERIOUS gift?!" (Kaylea had specifically said it was a serious White Elephant party and to bring gifts people would actually want.)
Then the girl (her name was Alexis) got really pissed off and I think she hates me now.

But I honestly don't give a shit because I'm moving in like 3 or 4 days to go back to Washington so she can think what she wants of me. And I'm sure she's embarassed because I would be embarassed if everyone brought expensive gifts to a party and I brought Dora stuff.
At least it smells like strawberries.
Ughh.

But other than that I suppose the party was alright. I mean there wasn't anything else that was that bad about it.

Tomorrow, I think I might go with my friend who is a Junior, Ali, to some teenager club thing and have a girls night out. I'm excited.
And then tomorrow night I'm considering having some girls over here and watching movies, playing Wii, and playing pool because we have a pool table downstairs.

i got the same virus over the summer and i took it into the repair shop on the island and they fixed it and it was fine. they downloaded Spybot Search & Destroy on there too and told me to run it regularly.
guess i didnt run it enough

the decision was made a week ago
everything was pretty last-minute since my mom quit her job
